Seven Spokes, a special charity nominated by one of our customers, was started by a group of parent volunteers to provide alternative education for children with diverse needs.
Here is what they say:
“The learning at Seven Spokes speaks to the soul of the child. Through imagination and feeling, as well as ‘doing’ they experience a range of topics, in an age-appropriate way, that help them to understand the world and their place in it. We create a positive, encouraging learning environment that enables each child to thrive and grow taking into account their diverse learning needs. This is a holistic form of education, celebrating each child’s unique gifts and their contribution to their community within the framework of the Head, Heart and Hand.
Experiential learning, without external pressures, lends itself to thinking creatively and having the flexibility of mind to grasp and explore intellectual concepts. Playful engaged learning means we can be focused on the process rather than the outcome.“
